Mrs. Brayboy, colored, died Sunday Morning.



   Robert John Andrews, 85, of DeLand, died Aug. 4, 2014 at his home.  He was born in Broadview, Ill., and joined the Navy at the age of 16 before retiring in 1971, holding the rank of Senior Chief Petty Officer.  After retirement, Bob was an avid square dance caller and instructor as well as an accomplished woodworker.  He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, was active and held several offices in Kiwanis International and a lifetime member of VUMS (Veterans of Underage Military Service).    

He was preceded in death by his fist wife of 23 years and the mother of his four sons, Terry Therese Andrews' and his second wife of 35 years, Cleatis Marie Andrews.  He is survivied by his wife, Patricia, four sons and their wives, a stepdaughter, stepson, two sisters, 12 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and a goddaughter.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to support the United States Navy-Marine Corps Rellief Society, Department 6042, Washington, DC, 20042-6042.  Arrangements were handled by Beyers Funeral Home with full military honors bestowev at burial in Astor Cemetery Aug. 11.
