Oldest section located underneath aging cedar trees, on the west side of the Adamsville Baptist Church.     Located on C-468, East of Coleman, approximately 1 mile from the intersection of US 301 and C-468.  The mausoleum is located just to the east as you pull off  Hwy 468 and  the newer section is located on the east side of the mausoleum and church.

                                          

I would like to present the Adamsville Cemetery in such a way that everyone can get something from it as it was meant to be presented.  I was very privileged to be given a copy of this labor of love.  All credit goes to Donna McPherson and Mary McPherson, Billy Bingham, Charles Arnold and all who helped them, as none of this would be possible without their hard work and persistance. The Adamsville cemetery has much of their family geneaology documented. Most of this has family research notes compiled from trips to the cemetery, courthouses and digging through piles of information contributed by her family members.

I would like to tell you a couple of interesting things that I found out about the cemetery.  For one thing I am sure you have noticed the ancient cedar trees.  I was told a story about those trees.  In Memory of Jane Rachel Henderson. She was a 9 year old little girl when she helped her father plant all of the trees and she remembered it very well when she was 90 years old. She was born in 1916 and was laid to rest in the Adamsville Cemetery in 6-July-2011  at the age of 95.  There will be updates of this work as there continues to be interments in the cemetery.  Currently the City of Coleman takes care of the cemetery.

This will be a slow process so I hope you will be patient with me. I will slowly bring all the information onto the site where you can search several different ways.  First I will list all the people that are resting in this beautiful shady cemetery, starting alphabetically with birth and death dates.  Next you will see the Section, Row, and Gravesite Number.  Then there will be a point, where there will be a  section called  **GEN NOTES**  where I will list all the information given by Donna, Mary, and others with their e-mail address so you may contact them with any questions you may have.
