Refrigerator Ship Loads Orange Cargo
The Lauritzen Line's Argentinian Reefer from Copenhagen, arrived today to load 20,000 cartons and 13,000 standard boxes of Florida citrus for the European market.
The ship skippered by Capt. Peder M.Pederson and with a crew of 40, is expected to sail early Tuesday for Rotterdam.
Another ship is due later this month to load 60,000 boxes of Valencia oranges for the European market. The movement is part of the Florida citrus industry's efforts to supply the European markets due to a severe freeze in Spain.
