Frank Buckles is the lone survivor from World War I. Frank enlisted in WWI at the age of sixteen in the US Army. He returned to the United Staes as a Corporal. After having been a soldier durring WWI he became a purser on the ship Western World where his travils led him to Manila where he was captured as a civilian by the Japanese and became a prisoner of war in WWII. Today Frank is the last of the doughboys of WWI. Read his remarkable story!
