John M. Reddick

Mr. John M. Reddick, of Brooksville, was in town yesterday. He is a former resident of Ocala. Mr. Reddick was born in South Carolina, came to Marion county with his folks in his youth, lived in the Fort McCoy flatwood section,  came to Fort King during the Indian troubles,  and moved to Ocala in 1867, but has been a resident of Brooksville for about a quarter of a century. He is a genial, whole souled gentleman and his many friends are always glad to see him. 

Note Linda Flowers...John M. Reddick was appointed Postmaster for Reddick on March 14, 1882. He enlisted in the Civil War at Ocala as a Private on July 5, 1861; Co. E; Florida 2nd Inf. Reg.
