At the southern end of Levy County lies the small town of Inglis. It rests along US Highway 19. Inglis was incorporated in 1955. Known for its friendly atmosphere, the town played host to Elvis Presley during the summer of 1961, when the actor made "Follow That Dream" in and around the surrounding area. A stretch of road (Co. Road 40) was named Follow That Dream Parkway and has a historical marker to commemorate the event.
