The Jacaranda Trees of Florida -- Avon Park
This is just one of the many JACARANDA TREES which extend for one mile though the center of Avon Park. They are a mass of lavender bloom in early Spring and the Jacaranda Hotel is named from one of the largest, fourteen feet in circumference, which stood on the present site of the hotel.
Other tropical and sub-tropical plants are another feature of the mile long Mall through Avon Park.
