WOODARD , C. Victor, 76,
passed away quietly February 21 , 2006 ,
in Cape Coral, Fla. A native of Tampa, he resided
in Cape Coral for the
past year. Victor served in the U.S. Army during World War
II. He attended
Franklin Junior High School, Brandon High School
and the University of
Florida. He retired from City of Tampa fire
department in 1976. After retiring,
he continued to love and train thoroughbred horses at Tampa
Bay Downs and
other tracks wound the country. Victor leaves to cherish his
loving memory
his wife, Novella; son and daughter-in-law, Steven and Micki;
grandson,
Steven, and his wife, Sarah; and stepgrandson, Brent. He also
is survived
by great-grandchildren, Jacob, Jessie and Mikayla; sisters,
Sharon (Tom)
Valdez of Lee, Fla., and Linda Pirtle of Illinois; brothers,
Creighton
(Betty) of Dade City, Fla., Cecil of Mena, Ark., and Carlton
(Pam) of
Winter Haven, Fla; and many nieces and nephews that will miss
him very
much. He was preceded in death by his brother, ,
Winton, of Tampa. A
private burial service will take place in Cape Coral.

WOODARD, CREIGHTON R. "WOODY," 74, of Dade City, formerly
of Tampa, died Wednesday (Feb. 22, 2006) in Florida
Hospital Zephyrhills.
He came to Dade City in 1978 after his military
retirement. He was an Air
Force veteran serving in Vietnam as a munitions
specialist and was the
recipient of the Bronze Star for his service in
Southeast Asia. He was a
member of the Dog Training Club of Tampa, American
Miniature Schnauzer
Association, Pasco County Computer Club, VFW,
American Legion and the
Vermillion's Club. Survivors include his wife of 53
years, Betty: two daughters,
Kathleen Hewitt, Tallahassee, and Karen Woodard,
Peoria, Ariz.; three sons,
Creighton R. Woodard Jr., Donald and Michael, all of Tampa;
two brothers,
Cecil, Texarkana, Ark. and Carlton, Haines City; two sisters,
Sharon
Valdez, Madison, and Linda Pirtle, Indiana; five
grandchildren; and six
great-grandchildren. Hodges Family Funeral Home, Dade City.
