FICARROTTA, Emilia G., 104 of Tampa, passed away January 17, 2013.
A native and lifelong resident of Tampa, Mrs. Ficarrotta was preceded in death by her husband, Joe L. Ficarrotta; daughter, Antoinette Spano; and grandson, John Spano, Jr.  She is survived by her loving son, Dominick J. (Ellen) Ficarrotta; son-in-law, John (Barbara) Spano; grandchildren, Michael J. and Stephen Ficarrotta, Sharon Golubic, Janet Vitale, Lorraine Collins, and Carolyn Spano; Eleven great grandchildren; and loving nieces, nephews, and other loving family members. She was a cigar maker and a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church and will be dearly missed by her loving family and friends.
A Funeral Mass will be offered for the repose of her soul on Wednesday, January 23, at 12:00 p.m. at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, 5225 N. Himes Ave., with Monsignor Laurence E. Higgins, Penn., Pastor Emeritus, officiating. Interment will follow in Centro Espanol Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday morning, January 23, from 11:00 a.m. until time of Mass at the Church.- The Tribune, Sunday,Jan. 20, 2013

FICARROTTA, Herman E., 91, of Tampa, passed away August 8, 2009.
Mr. Ficarrotta was born March 25, 1918 in Tampa, the son of Sicilian immigrants. He was a proud U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He retired as sales manager from Joseph E. Seagram and Sons. His passions were his family, friends and spending time at his Ron Jo Rosa Ranch, where he loved to cook and entertain.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Margaret D. Ficarrotta.
He is survived by his loving children, Joseph H. Ficarrotta (Isabel Lopez), Rosemary (John) Higdon, and Ronald N. (Monica) Ficarrotta; his loving companion, Mickey Licata; and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
The family is dearly grateful for the medical care provided by Dr. Albert Tawil, Dr. Xavier Prida, Dr. Rand Altemose and their dedicated staff. We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to the staff of St. Joseph Hospital.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in honor of Herman Ficarrotta, to the American Cancer Society, LifePath Hospice Inc., or the charity of your choice.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, August 12, at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, 5225 N. Himes Ave., with Monsignor Laurence E. Higgins, P.A., Pastor Emeritus, officiating.
Interment will follow in Myrtle Hill Memorial Park. Pallbearers include: John Higdon, Alfred Cuervo, James Gurley, Mac A. Greco Jr., Pasquale Iacovella, Rick LaBarbara, Jimmy Moore, and Joseph G. Ramentol Jr. Honorary Pallbearers include: Joseph Polewka, Richard Brennan, Chuck Bruno, Bennie Lazzara Jr., Malio Iavarone, Sam Papia Jr., Alan Rountree, Ricky Rumore and Dennis Sanchez.

FICARROTTA, Joseph Frank, 73, of Cocoa, dedicated husband and father, died January 16, 2005, after a decade-long battle with Parkinson's disease. He was born February 2, 1931, in Tampa, to Frank and Mary Ficarrotta. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War as an instructor of combat photography. After leaving the military, he began his life's career as a filmmaker at Kennedy Space Center. For 38 years, he worked through contractors for NASA and the Air Force as a cameraman, editor, writer, director and producer of training films, news releases and educational documentaries. His work chronicled the American space program from its beginnings through the Apollo missions to the space shuttle.
He is survived by his wife of over 50 years, Julia Ficarrotta; his children, Carl, Anthony, Lisa and Robert Ficarrotta; and his grandchildren, Sarah Ficarrotta, Tony Ficarrotta and Lorraine Hook. He will be interred at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell.

FICARROTTA, Rosalie "Lily," 85, of Tampa, passed away January 31, 2007.
A native and lifelong resident of Tampa.
Mrs. Ficarrotta was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Ficarrotta, and is survived by her son, Nicholas James Ficarrotta; daughter, Laurie J. Ficarrotta; granddaughter, Dina Ficarrotta Gilbert; sister, Mary Franciscan; three great-grand-sons, Justin, Owen and Peyton; and many other loving family members. Graveside funeral services will take place at 11 a.m. Friday at Myrtle Hill Memorial Park.
Everyone is to meet at the cemetery for the graveside services.

FICARROTTA, Nick, 77, of Tampa, passed away November 11, 2006.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Margaret Ficarrotta; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Joseph F. and Katie Cacciatore.
Survivors include his devoted wife of 52 years, Elvira "Vera" Ficarrotta; devoted children, Nick Ficarrotta Jr. and wife, Nancy Neaves, Karen Palori and husband, Vincent, and Paul Joseph Ficarrotta; grandchildren, Michael and Melissa Palori, Erica, Kayla and Jessica Ficarrotta; devoted sisters and brother, Rose Mary Garcia and husband, Manuel, Mary Theresa Valenti and husband, James, Gasper J. Ficarrotta and wife, Rita; sisters-in-law, Rose Filocco and husband, Frank, Lucy Milana and husband, Paul; and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and godchildren.
Nick leaves a legacy of devoted family and friends who have experienced his love, generosity and kindness. We will miss his smiling face and will carry him in our hearts forever. He was a lifelong resident of Tampa, and was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He was a graduate of the University of Florida and the University of Miami Law School, and was a practicing attorney for 51 years. Nick served as a general master of the 13th Judicial Circuit for six years.  Memorial Services will be conducated 8p.m. Tuesday evening at the chapel of JGR Funeral Home. Please omit flowers, and in lieu of, contributions may be made to Melech Hospice House, 11125 N. 52nd St, Temple Terrace, FL 33617, in memory of Mr. Ficarrotta. The Family would like to thank Olivia Brooks and the staff at Melech Hospice House for their loving care and attention. FICARROTTA, Mary S., age 86, of Clearwater, died Friday December 15, 2012 at Brookside Hospice in Palm Harbor.
Mary was born in Tampa, and graduated from Clearwater High School. Mrs Ficarrotta was a member of Light of Christ Catholic Church.
Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Frank R Ficarrotta Jr.; a son, Frank R Ficarrotta III; two daughters, Carole Reams and Patti Zeigler; a brother, Vincent Saporito; and eight grandchildren.
Visitation hours are scheduled for Thurs., Dec. 20, 2012, from 5 to 8 pm at Moss Feaster Funeral Home, 693 South Belcher Rd., Clearwater, 727-562-2070.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, Dec. 21, 2012, at 10:30 am at Light of Christ Catholic Church in Clearwater.
Burial will follow in Clearwater Cemetery.
