Smyrna Cemetery

Originally surveyed by Wayne Carpenter on October 29, 1999. Photographed and survey updated on November 13, 2010,
by Donna Warlick and Angela Cassidy.

Directions: Leave Chattahoochee on Bonnie Hill Road (Hwy 269) south. Go 4.1 miles to Hardaway Hwy. (Hwy 268).
Turn left on Hwy 268 and go .5 mile. Cemetery is on right side of Hwy with name on sign.

There used to be a Presbyterian church with high ceilings and plenty of windows. It was torn down sometime after 1979. These
images of the Smyrna Presbyterian Church were taken in July 1979 and contributed by Wilbur Smith.

The cemetery is maintained and very pretty. There is are currently two graves without identification. Some stones have been
replaced or added, because we found the index had different names and dates than the current stones. We found some people
who were not in here during the 1999 survey. Also, we didn't find a couple of graves that were on Wayne's survey, but we left the
names in the index. Please send me photos and obituaries of people buried here, and I will include them. Angela Cassidy
