Top row, left to right are: Cecil Ritter, Estelle Hanna, Elvia Hanna, Ada Hagood, Nancy Ritter, Chester Cooper, Joe Newberry,
Carl McDaniel, Hovie Morris, Emmaline Newberry, Bethanie Newberry, Clara Hanna, Addie Taylor. The only person still living (at the time of this survey) was Emmaline Newberry. She lived in Quincy and was 95 years old. There were seven children and except for one, they all lived long lives and died in the same order they were born. Emmaline was born last and was the last still living. Hannatown is just over the FL - GA state line, so Hannatown, Georgia, children went to school with Mt Zion children (from the Glory Community). Then the Florida parents got upset about paying the bill without Hannatown parents' help. So Hannatown had to build their own school. |
