| Gladys Waldron, 99, of Arcadia, Tampa Tribune, March 9th., 2005 ------------------------------------------- Gladys Waldron, 99, of Arcadia, passed away March 8, 2005. Gladys was born May 12, 1905, in Birmingham, Ala. She came to the Hardee and DeSoto County area in 1916 by ox cart. She was one of the last pioneers of DeSoto County. She is survived by three sons, Thomas H. (Daisy) Waldron of White Springs, Fla., Gerald G. (Joann) Waldron of Wauchula and James Calvin (Lucy) Waldron of Yelm, Wash.; one daughter, Elizabeth Betty (Larry) Cain of Rogersville, Tenn.; 10 grandchildren; 19 great- grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Wednesday, March 9, at the Arcadia Church of the Nazarene located at 132 W. Gibson St. in Arcadia. Services will be Thursday, March 10, at the Arcadia Church of the Nazarene. Robarts Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. |
