LAKELAND - Grace Myers Boring, 86, passed away peacefully from pneumonia on Wednesday morning, August 1st, 2012, at the Palliative Care Unit in Lakeland Regional Medical Center, where the nurses are very attentive and caring. Mom was also attended to by the very helpful staff of the Good Shepherd Hospice.
Grace was born in Lakeland on February 18, 1926 to parents Frank W. Myers and Eulalie Youngblood Myers. Grace was a life time member of the Lakeland community, where she attended Lakeland public schools, graduating from Lakeland High School, then from Florida State University with a degree in education.
Grace married Allan Dean Boring II in 1947 and they spent 48 wonderful years together before Allan passed away in November 1995. Grace always enjoyed time with her family and many friends and was happiest in later years when she and Allan spent 6 months each in Lakeland and Franklin, until Allan's health prevented those trips.

In 1979, she and Allan became charter members of Lakeland Bible Church, becoming involved with missionaries all over the world. Grace continued to support them until her death.
