LAKELAND - Jan Crawford passed away after a courageous battle with cancer on March 15, 2012.
 Jan was born in Ft. Benning, GA on Dec. 4, 1955 and moved to Lakeland in 1957. She was a librarian for more than 37 years for the Lakeland Public Library. She served as Treasurer for the Florida Public Library Association and was a member of the Polk Co. Library Co Op. She enjoyed reading, gardening, crocheting, as well as mastering the latest technology. Jan was a loving family member, a kind and faithful friend, and her memory will remain forever in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
 She is survived by her sister, Barbara A. Crawford of Lakeland; sister-in-law, Beverly Crawford Humphries (Jeff) of Lakeland; niece, Megan Crawford Tucsynski (Bryan) of Tonawanda, NY; nephew, Trevor Andrew Dylan Crawford of Lakeland; niece by marriage, Jessica Elizabeth Abby Brown of Lakeland; best friend, Cindee Hansel Johnson (Randy) of Bryson City, NC; neighbors, Linda and Bill Borchert of Lakeland; and her many wonderful friends and coworkers at the Lakeland Public Library.
 She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Ruben Crawford II and Lynette Crawford; and brothers, Richard Michael "Mike" Crawford and Thomas "Tom" Ruben Crawford, III.
 A memorial service to celebrate her life will be conducted Sat. Mar. 24th., at Gentry-Morrison Southside Chap. 1727 Bartow Rd.
