LAKELAND - Barbara Alderman of Lakeland, passed away Sept. 5, 2013 due to a brain hemorrhage.  Barbara was born in Sarasota, Florida and lived in California until late 1950 s, when she moved to Lakeland. She worked as a Mom, raising her family, while being an avid gardener, traveling to the National Parks, and collecting her rocks and shells.   >Barbara was preceded in death by her husband Douglas, a grandson Justin Crum, and a great- grandson Trinity Crum. > She is survived by her sons, Thomas Alderman and fiancée Sonia Baruch, Douglas Ray Alderman Jr., and a daughter Angie Mudge and husband Todd; a brother Tommie Bragg; grandchildren Andrew Crum, Celine Alderman, Seattle Alderman and Erin Alderman; and a great-grandson Austin Crum.  Memorial services will take place on Thursday, Sept. 12, at 6:00 pm, at Gentry-Morrison Funeral Home at Serenity Gardens, 3350 Mall Hill Drive, Lakeland. LAKELAND - Mrs. Alice D. Alderman died on January 19, 2012 at Lakeland Regional Medical Center. She was born February 2, 1921 in Nashua, Iowa. Mrs. Alderman was a member of College Heights United Methodist Church and a 60 year member of the P.E.O. She worked at Peoples Bank for 35 years. > She was predeceased by her husband Gettys P. LAKELAND - Alvin A. Alderman passed away Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at Highland Lake Center of heart failure. Mr. Alderman was born December 17, 1925 in Nichols, FL, to Ira & Gertrude (Whidden) Alderman. Mr. Alderman moved to Lakeland one year ago from Ft. She was a waitress. LAKELAND - Douglas R. Alderman of Lakeland, passed away June 28, 2011 of heart failure. Douglas was born in Auburndale, and was a lifelong resident of the area. He retired in 2006 after 43 years working as a self employedstructural engineer for several firms throughout North America and Canada. He was an avid sports car enthusiast, especially the Corvette, traveling to car shows with Barbara. They also enjoyed traveling in the RV, seeing almost every national park in the country. > He is survived by his wife Barbara; his 2 sons, Ray of Knoxville, TN, and Thom of Riverview, FL; a daughter, Angie Mudge and her husband Todd of Lakeland; 2 sisters, Ethel Davis of Bartow and Linda Evans of Lakeland; and his 5 grandchildren, Andrew, Justin, Celine, Seattle and Erin. > Pre-Deceased by brothers, Curtis, Rudolph and Douglas Alderman. PLANT CITY - Floyd K Alderman of Plant City, passed away on Sunday August 19, 2007 in Palmer, Alaska. Mr. Alderman was born in Arcadia, FL and moved to Plant City in 1932. He was a retired conductor from the CSX Railroad, was a Navy veteran of the Korean War, & attended the First Baptist Church of Plant City.
>He was preceded in death by his wife Carolyn E. Alderman. >Survivors include sons: Doug Alderman (Dale) of Plant City, Steve Alderman (Debbie) of Wasilla, AK; daughter, Susan Hall (Danny) of Colman, Alabama; sisters: Inez Thomas, Pauline Joyner, Carolyn Peacock, Eloise Thomas, all of Plant City, Marie Powers of Bradenton, Hazel Norman of Orlando; 6 grandchildren & 4 great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on Sat., Aug. 25th at 3:00 P.M. at First Baptist Church of Plant City with Richard Joyner officiating. BLAIRSVILLE, GA- Mr. Glen Alderman went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 12, 2012 after a lengthy illness. Glen was born in Bartow, FL on March 21, 1934. In his youth he was a Boy Scout, and achieved the rank of Eagle Scout, along with his twin Brother Sam. He served in the U.S. Navy. He worked at CF Chemicals, Bartow, FL. For 25 years he was a member of the Willow Oak Volunteer Fire Department and was instrumental in building the fire station and Community Center there. When he retired he moved to Blairsville where he worked at Vogel State Park, and was also a Vogel volunteer for many years. > He is survived by His wife, Barbara Alderman, Blairsville, GA.; daughters, Joni Alderman and Jennifer Dyer of Blairsville; sons, Tim Alderman (Denise) and Todd Alderman of Mulberry, Fl.; twin brother, Sam Alderman (Janet) of Mulberry, Fl.; sister, Ernestine Stavely, of Lakeland, Fl.; seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren. > He was pre-deceased by his parents, Timothy and Myrtle Alderman, Mulberry, FL; sister, Doris Murphy, Lakeland, Fl. and two grandsons, Josh and Ryan Alderman of Mulberry, Fl.

MULBERRY - Harmon Elliott Alderman, born Dec. 26, 1942, and died at Lakeland Regional Medical Center on Jan 5, 2013, due to complications related to cancer. Harmon retired from Mosaic Fertilizer after 35 yrs of service. He also served in the U.S. Army for 3 years. He served as a deacon at Southside Baptist Church of Mulberry, Florida.
Survived by his wife of 47 years, Mary Alderman, son Wade Alderman and daughter Amanda Summerlin, all of Mulberry. Harmon had 5 grandchildren: Sean, Cherie, Nathen, Paige and Kendall, and 1 great grandson: Brayden. He is also survived by brother Norman Alderman of Chicora and sister Trumella Parrish of Riverview. She was a homemaker and a member of Christina Park Baptist Church. > She is preceded in death by her daughter, Wynnonia Gooch. >She is survived by her husband of 29 years, Elmer W. "Bill" Martin of Bartow, Fla.; 2 sons, John Floyd (Priscilla) of Mulberry, William R. LAKELAND - Mr. Roland Lane Alderman died on March 20, 2012 at his home of cancer. He was born on April 18, 1924 in Brewster, Florida. Mr. Alderman was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. He was an active member of the Florida Trail Association. He served in the United States Navy during World War II. >  He was predeceased by his wife  of 40 years, Mary Louise Hefferan Alderman and grandson, Andrew S. He was born in Winter Haven on Oct. 1, 1953, he moved to Eagle Lake 10 years ago. He was a surveyor for Alderman Land Surveys for more than 25 years, and after the business sold in 2000 he continued to work for the new company. He was an Army veteran. Born in Auburndale on Nov. 20, 1939, he was a lifelong resident of the area. He was a scrap metal dealer. KATHLEEN -- Mr. Paul Alderman of Kathleen died of lung failure Wednesday (Oct. 16, 2002) at East Pasco Medical Center in Zephyrhills. He was born in Winter Garden on Sept. 6, 1934, he came to Kathleen at an early age. He was a self-employed truck driver. He was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War. He was a Baptist.
 Mr.  Alderman is survived by his wife, Janice Alderman; daughters, Debbie Thomas, Dorothy Cole, Dawn Stephens, all of Kathleen; sons, Tommy Fritchley, Nauvoo, Ala., Randy Fritchley, Paul Alderman Jr., both of Kathleen; sisters, Ethel Davis, Bartow, Linda Evans, Lakeland; brothers, Rudolph Alderman, Grand Ridge, Curtis Alderman, Douglas Alderman, both of Lakeland, Leamon Alderman, Auburndale; 16 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren.
