James Louis "Nooter" Moran

U.S.Flagdied Friday, Dec. 6, 2002, at James A. Haley VA Hospital in Tampa. He was77.
 
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Dec. 14, at 11 a.m. at Willow Lawn Cemetery on Washington Avenue. Visitation will be held Friday, 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., at Epps Mortuary.Born Sept. 27, 1925, in Lake  Wales, he was a lifelong resident. He was a machinist for Florida's Natural Growers, an Army veteran of World II, and of the Baptist faith. Survivors include  his wife, Marva L. Moran of Lake Wales; five sons, Edwin Moran of  Bartow, James Moran, Jr. of Tallahassee, Mark Moran,  Jr. of Tallahassee, Victor Bridges and Joseph Moran, all of Lake Wales;  four daughters, Loyce Hill of 
Tallahassee, Alice Sanders and  
Janice Snell, both of Lake Wales,  and Mary Baker of Jacksonville;  one brother, Wilmer Moran of
 Lake Wales; two sisters, Mildred Smith and Rose Montford of Lake Wales; 25 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

JAMES H. MORGAN- July 4, 1985 

LAKE WALES HIGHLANDER-

Funeral services for James H. Morgan, 80, of 601 Washington Ave., Lake Walesare scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday at the First Institutional Baptist Church of Lake Wales 

with the Rev. A. Battles officiating.  There

will be no public viewing. Interment will follow in Willow Lawn  CemeteryMorgan died July 1 at Lake Wales  Hospital  following a lengthy  illness.  A native of Jasper, Florida, he came to Lake Wales in 1924. He was a member of the First Institutional Baptist Church here. Survivors include ; his wife, Dorothy; 

two sons, James Morgan [line  unreadable] Dale.  Also two grandchildren and eight 

great-grandchildren. 

  

Gause Funeral Home of Lake Wales is in charge of all arrangements.



 


Ayanna Ashley Primus -
May 19, 2005 Lake Wales News
Ayanna Ashley Primus of Lake  Wales, Fla. died on Saturday,  May 7, 2005, at Lake Wales Medical Center.  She was one month old. She was born on April 9, 2005 in
 Winter Haven, Fla. She is survived ; by her mother, Issacnette Hall, of  Lake Wales;  a sister, Keyonna Primus of Lake  Wales; a brother, Alishawn  McClain of Lake Wales;
grandparents, Jerome and Lois  Blocker of Lake Wales, Joseph  and Millie Drayton
and Joann Primus, all of Lake  Wales, Leonard Burch and  Lorene Burch of Atlanta, Ga.; great-grandparents Dartanyana
Hammonds and Nathaniel and 
 Ethel Davis, all of Lake Wales. Graveside services were held on  Friday, May 13,  at Willow Lawn Cemetery Lake Wales.

Epps Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.





 


KENNETH M. SMITH -

Funeral services for Kenneth M. Smith of 4702 Avon St., Crooked Lake Parkwill be 4 p.m. Saturday at the First Institutional Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Willow Lawn Cemetery. Smith, 27, died Monday at his residence. He was a native of Bridgeport,  Conn., and came to Lake Wales  five months ago. He was a quality control inspector  for the helicopter industry, and a  draftsman. He was graduated from the Warren Hardy High School in Bridgeport, Conn. He was a member of the Baptist  faith, and of the Fort Jackson National

Guard Assoc.and the Connecticut  National Guard.  Survivors include;  his parents, Elizabeth and Thomas  L. Mack of Lake Walesone brother, Harold Smith of  Jacksonvillesister, Carolyn Alexander of 

Tampa, Phyllis Davis of  Bridgeport, Conn.

step-brothers, Thomas L. Mack  Jr.   











 

Martha Keith -

Martha Keith of Lake Wales died Sunday, Jan. 25, 2004, in Jesup, Ga. She was 91.
She was born in Waynesboro,  Ga. and had been a resident of    Lake Wales since 1975, coming from New York, N.Y. She was a retired registered nurse  for the Veterans Administration  Hospital in New YorkShe was a member of the Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church in  Lake Wales where she was on the Senior Usher board. Mrs. Keith was preceded in death by her husband, Felton Keith.  She is survived  by;
four grandchildren and  eight great-grandchildren. Visitation was held Friday, Jan. 30,  from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Epps
Mortuary.
 
Funeral services were held Saturday, Jan.31, at 2 p.m. at the Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church.  

Interment was held at the Willow Lawn Cemetery.

Epps Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.
