 Lake Wales - Mr. Gordon Lee Waring, a former Lakeland resident, died Tuesday, May 2, 1989 at his home. He was 76 years of age.
 Gordon was a native of Lakeland and moved to Lake Wales 16 years ago. He was a retired Real Estate Agent. In 1983 he opened the Touch of Silk Florist Shop in Lake Wales. He was a decon and member of First Christian Church in Lake Wales.
 Gordon is survived by his wife, Susie Waring of Lake Wales; daughters, Rebecca Jane DEAN of Punta Gorda and Kristie TANNER of Lakeland; sons, John L. Waring and Michael C. ( or O ) BREWINGTON both of Lakeland; sisters, Mary REAY and Ann HOLDEN, both of Pheonix, Arizona, and Margaret MORGAN of Lakeland; brother, William WARING of Lakeland; and 5 grandchildren.  Servicer were held Friday, May 5, 1989 and burial was at Oak Hill Burial Park in Lakeland with Mr. James C. Vaughn officiating.

 Polk City - Aug. 11 ( special ) Robert D. Waring age 64 died at his home at 8:30 this morning. Robert was a resident of Lakeland for 30 years and moved to Polk City 6 months ago and was owner and operator of a restaurant.
 Surviving Robert include his 2 sons, Robert D. of New Jersey and William J. of Portland, Ore.; 3 daughters, Mrs. Albert Morris of Leesburg, Fl. and Mrs. Albert SUTTON and Mrs. W. H. SPIVE of Orlando; 4 brothers, T. J. of Tampa, M. G. of Lakeland, J. S. of Dunnsville, Va. and M. F. of Arlington, Va.; 1 sister, Mrs. Julian MOORE of Lakeland and 5 grandchildren.
 Funeral Services were held Aug. 12, 1948 at the Duke-Steen Funeral Home Chapel.

 Funeral services for Robert D. Waring who died at Polk City Wednesday, were held yesterday ( Thurs. Aug. 12, 1948 ) with the Rev. R. J. Broyles, pastor of the First Methodist Church officiating.
 Pallbearers were; Gordon Waring - Vernon Waring - George Brantley, Sr. - and Shelly Gordon.
Interment was in Roselawn Cemetery, Lakeland, Polk Co.,Fl.
