S. Amee, Jr., passed away February 9, 2011 at Manatee Memorial Hospital
due to heart failure. Bob was born
on September 23, 1947
in
Portsmouth, New
Hampshire to Robert S. & Eileen (Schroeder)
Amee, Sr. Bob served with the U.S. Navy.
He was a
salesman for many years and loved cars and the beach. Bob during his
lifetime was a resident of Lakeland for many years, Atlanta, Sarasota,
and Bradenton just to name a few places.
He was
predeceased
by his father Robert S., Sr.,
and is survived by his two sons,
Timothy James Amee of Douglasville, GA, Ryan Matthew Amee of Lakeland,
mother, Eileen Amee of Lakeland, two brothers: Richard D. Amee
&
Stephen J. Amee of Lakeland, two sisters: Carolyn Harrell of Brandon,
Nancy Amee of Lakeland, two granddaughters, Tiffany Amee &
Lindsey
Amee.
Memorial
services
will be held on Saturday, February 12, 2011 at Trinity Methodist Church
in Bradenton with final honors
by the United States Navy.

LAKELAND - Stephen
"Steve" John Amee, 56, passed away July 30, 2011 at home due to heart
failure. Steve was born on
December 1, 1954 in Portsmouth, New Hampshire to Robert
S. & Eileen
(Schroeder) Amee.
Steve
moved to Lakeland in 1965 as a 10 year old boy. Steve is an alumnus
of Kathleen High
School, class of 72, where he
graduated with honors. Steve retired from the City of Lakeland as a
pipe fitter in the water division. Steve was an active softball player
and umpire for multiple years; he also spent many years refereeing and
coaching in the city of Lakeland. Steve was a hard-working,
warm-hearted man who loved his family. Steve enjoyed sports and reading
from his science-fiction collection.
He was preceded in
death by his father Robert S.,
Sr. and his brother Robert "Bob" S.,Jr.,
Survived
by his two daughters, Christina Ruth and Dawn LaRae, son Zachary Steven
Amee, mother Eileen Amee of Lakeland, one brother Richard D. Amee of
Lakeland, two sisters: Carolyn Harrell of Brandon, Nancy Amee of
Lakeland, six grandchildren: Jacquelyn, Sydney, Emily, Zia, Brooklyn,
and Rylin, and three grandsons: Ethan, Noah, and Brennen. Steve also
shared his home with his beloved animals "Cookie" and "Binky".
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, August 5,
2011 at Willow Oak Assembly of God, 4045 Bailey Rd., Mulberry. In lieu
of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Humane Society
as Steve was a respected supporter. – Ledger, Aug. 3, 2011
