MIDDLEBURG, FL. - Mr. Dan Hiram Raulerson, age 65, died of heart failure October 19, 2011.
 Born in Lakeland on July 20, 1946, he was a self-employed food broker. He served in the
Army National Guard.
 Mr. Raulerson was preceded in death by his father Hiram Vernon Raulerson. He is survived by his mother Annie Raulerson, Middleburg, FL; daughters Angela Ardrey, Plant City, Kimberly Robinson, Lakeland; sister Peggy Starling, Middleburg; 7 grandchildren.
 Visitation will be Friday, Oct. 28, 2011 at Lanier Funeral Home Chapel.

LAKELAND - Donald Everett Raulerson, Sr., 82 years young, was called into the loving and healing arms of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, in the early morning hours of February 15, 2013. Donald succumbed to a rapid onset of cancer. At Donald's side in his home were his immediate family, his wife of 62 years, Ann Brown Raulerson; his son, Donald E. Raulerson, Jr.; and his daughters, Marsha Raulerson and Deborah Gackenback.
 He was born on July 8th, 1930 in Lakeland, FL. As a young lad, Donald herded cattle across the plains of the Green Swamp, and across the state of Florida, roping cattle and eating "hard tack" by the cook wagon. He was a true "Florida Cracker" and his stories from those days are family treasures.
 Donald's first career was in the USAF where he served in North Africa, England, Del Rio, TX, Tucson, AZ, Goose Bay Labrador, Canada, and Warner Robbins, GA. He retired from active duty in 1969. He then became a logger and carpenter/master builder, and worked as a Site Superintendent for Venture Construction Company for many years.
 Donald was proceeded in death by his Parents, Doris L. Raulerson and Samuel L. Raulerson.
 He is survived by his loving wife, Ann Brown Raulerson; son, Donald E. Raulerson Jr. (Judy) of Lakeland; daughters, Marsha Raulerson of Lakeland, Deborah Gackenback (John) of Sanford; and sister, Merlene Stalvey of Lakeland.
Surviving adult grandchildren include John Robert Gackenback, and Lance Gackenback of Sanford, FL, Christina Cullipher Petty of Lakeland, FL, and Dr. Berkely Olvera (Toby) of Flagstaff, Az. Special mention to "adopted granddaughter" Amanda Lynn Carridad Ruiz.
 Donald E. Raulerson Sr. was a kind, gentle, considerate, loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather, friendly, strong and courageous, and quite simply put was the very essence of what a man should strive to be.
 A visitation will be held on Monday, February 18, 2013 at Bethal Baptist, 3125 Socrum Loop Road West, Lakeland, FL, with a service to follow.

BARTOW - Joan Raulerson, 73, a native of Bartow died of complications related to Leukemia on June 3, 2009 at her childhood home.
 Joan left Bartow following her graduation from Summerlin Institute to attend Emory University in Atlanta. She graduated from Georgia State University with a Bachelors Degree in English and went on to earn her Masters Degree in Library Science from The Atlanta University. Following graduation Joan served as the Library Consultant to the Archdiocese of Atlanta for Elementary Schools. She then became the librarian at the Marist School in Atlanta for over 30 years.
 Joan was an inspiration to not only the thousands of children she helped to educate but also to the many adults she encountered in her life and dear friends that she had in Atlanta and beyond.
 She is survived by her mother, Frances Childs Raulerson of the Rohr Home, her brother and sister-in-law Bo and Sandy Raulerson of Bartow; her niece Katie and family Dr. J. David Moore, Emory and Molly-Grace of Bartow; her nephew and his wife John and Sarah Raulerson of Tallahassee, Florida; and by her cousins Bettie L. Kane; Suzanne L. Dowling; B. Thomas Latimer; Russell H. Snively; SuAnne M. Carmouche and by the friends she held so dear.
 Service were held at Whidden McLean Funeral Home on Saturday June 6, 2009.
 The family will receive visitors following the service at the home of Dr. David and Katie Raulerson Moore, 805 East Church Street, Bartow immediately following the services.

BARTOW - Mrs. Frances Louise (Childs) Raulerson, age 96, died from natural causes at the Rohr Home in Bartow, Tuesday, October 11, 2011.
She was born on May 4, 1915 in St. Petersburg, FL, but moved to Bartow at a very young age.
 The daughter of Benjamin Franklin Childs and Susie Louise (Jones) Childs, she was predeceased by her daughter, Joan Raulerson, husband, Bernard Raulerson, Sr., her parents, and three sisters: Virginia Snively, Marjorie Mills, and Mary Mensay.
 She is survived by her son Bernard "Bo" Raulerson, Jr., and wife Sandra of Bartow, and two grandchildren: Kate Moore and husband J. David of Bartow, and John Raulerson and wife Sarah of Tallahassee. Also surviving her are three great grandchildren: Emory and Molly-Grace Moore of Bartow, Tucker Bennett Raulerson of Tallahassee, five nephews, nine nieces and a loving neighbor, Sandra Cruz.
 Mrs. Raulerson was a lifelong member of the First United Methodist Church of Bartow and was an active private duty nurse until she was in he mid-seventies. Her passion was flowers.
 A memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, October 15th at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home in Bartow.

LAKELAND -- Mrs. Gertrude L. Raulerson of Lakeland died of cancer Wednesday (Aug. 10, 2005) at Palm Terrace Healthcare Hospice.
She was 83. Born in Mercalf, Ga., on Jan. 18, 1922, Mrs. Raulerson was a longtime resident of Lakeland. She was a homemaker. She was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II. She was a member of Temple Baptist Church.
 Mrs. Raulerson was preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin Raulerson.
 She is survived by her daughter, Lillian Robinson, Lakeland; sons, Charles "Tom" Murphy, Frank Murphy, Fred Murphy, Luther Crews, all of Lakeland; 12 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Friday at Lanier Funeral Home. Services will be Saturday at Hancock Raulerson Cemetery in Polk City.

LAKE WALES - Johnnie Nichols "Nick" Raulerson, 88, died Tuesday, April 08, 2008 of cancer.
was born Dec 22, 1919, in Fort Meade, FL, to John William and Fannie Thornton Raulerson. He was a 1930 graduate of Frostproof High School, Frostproof, FL. He was a U.S. Army veteran serving in World War II and in the Korean War, receiving a Bronze Star. He retired in 1966 from the 3rd Armor Division in Fort Knox, Kentucky. He also served in Fort Benning, Georgia, until 1952. He served in Hanau, Germany from 1952 to 1955, he served with the Rangers again at Fort Benning, Georgia from 1955 to 1959, and he served with the 1st Armor Division in Friedberg, Germany from 1959 to 1962. After retiring he settled with his family in Orlando, FL, and worked as the security guard at the Citizens Bank in Orlando. In 1970 he became the first mailman at Disney World, and later went to work as a driver for the Navy Hospital. In 1989 he and his wife settled in Polk County, FL. He was a beloved member of the Corinth Primitive Baptist Church in Bereah, FL.
 He was predeceased by his parents, his sister Maxine Raulerson, his brother William Rufus Raulerson and daughter Sherry
Maxine Raulerson.
 He is survived by his wife Opal; daughters Janette M. Raulerson and Marla Kay Raulerson, son Johnnie N. Raulerson, Jr. and wife Sherry; grandchildren Melanie Diaz, Lisa Cruzan, Johnnie N. Raulerson III, and Paul Muir. Survivors also include nine great grandchildren. At his request there will be no public service.
 A private family memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society , or Good Shepherd Hospice. Envelopes for both are available at the funeral home.

LAKELAND - Mr. Kenneth Ray Raulerson, 65, passed away on December 29, 2009 due to heart failure.
 He was born December 8, 1944 and was a lifelong Lakeland resident. He was a U.S. Army veteran serving during Vietnam. He was employed by Publix and worked as a refrigerator technician. Mr. Raulerson had a great sense of humor and was a very kind and caring man. He loved outdoor activities including, fishing, boating, working in his yard and woodworking.
 He was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy Jackson and sister, Pat Bodin.
 He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Gayle Raulerson of Lakeland; his son, Anthony Raulerson (Tracie) of North Carolina; brothers Gene Raulerson (Renee) & Edward Raulerson (Sandy), both of Florida; one grandson, Gage and two beloved black labs, Casey & Boca.

MEDULLA -- Mr. N.L. Raulerson Jr. of Medulla died of heart failure Thursday (Feb. 20, 2003) at home. He was 83.
Born in Lakeland on April 18, 1919, he was a lifelong resident. He was a dryer operator for U.S. Agri-Chemicals. He was an Army veteran. He was a member of Harmony Primitive Baptist Church.
 Mr. Raulerson is survived by his wife, Melrose Raulerson; sons, Ben Raulerson, Gary Raulerson, both of Lakeland; daughters, Lavonne Knapp, Quincy, Betty Gardner, Newport, Mich.; sisters, Kathryn Sanders, Doris Bowen, Charlotte Crawford, all of Lakeland; eight grandchildren; three great- grandchilren.
Visitation will be Sunday at A.M. Seiger Funeral Home, SR 60 E., Mulberry.
Services will be Monday at the funeral home chapel.

DANDRIDGE, TN. - Mr. Wilbur E. Raulerson, age 79, died of heart failure March 5, 2007. Born in Polk County on August 19, 1927, Mr. Raulerson moved to Dandridge, TN., four and a half years ago from Polk City.
 He is survived by his brother, Steve "Bud" Raulerson, Polk City, FL.; sisters, Connie M. Lane, Allendale, S.C., Sarah R. Hancock, Dandridge, TN.; 8 nieces and nephews; 6 great nieces and nephews.

LAKELAND - Ms. Zelda Harrell Raulerson passed away Monday, January 21, 2013 due to heart failure.
Zelda was born in Socrum, Florida 81 years ago to Levy and Lydia Harrell. She had three brothers: Eugene, Hank and Bill. God gave her a beautiful voice and she sang His praises every chance she got beginning at the age 3 standing on a stool beside her father at Bethel Baptist Church.
 She went to Socrum Strawberry School and graduated from Kathleen in 1949. That same year Zelda had fallen in love with her husband, Ezra Penn Raulerson, Jr. and was married to him for 50 years. They were blessed with 4 children. She was a nurse at Lakeland General Hospital, member of Bethel Baptist Church for 73 years where she was the director of the Sonbeams, taught a ladies Sunday school class and was a church librarian for many years. Zelda sang for the last time at Bethel on January 5th at a luncheon with many friends. We believe God called her to His heavenly choir and she and Daddy are singing praises together forever in heaven.
 Zelda is predeceased by her husband Ezra Penn Raulerson, Jr.
 She is survived by her one son, Ezra P. Raulerson, III (Patsy); three daughters, Lydia L. Edwards (Jack), Vicky Bridges (Stephen) and Margie Nelson (Charlie); 10 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
 A visitation will be held on Thursday Jan. 24, 2013 at Bethel Baptist Church with funeral services to follow at 11:00.
