LAKELAND - Robbie Darlene Miller passed away Sunday, October 11, 2020. She was born on December 20, 1944 in Memphis, Tennessee, and lived an extraordinary life. > She is survived by her two children, Richard David Miller (Susan) and Tiffani Robyn Gozdur (Jeff); her four grandchildren, Jeremy, Mikayla, Madyson, Paige; and one great-grandchild, Lucas. Her family was her pride and joy. She loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren with every bone in her body. Her dreams were their dreams. Robbie attended Lakeland High School where she met many life-long friends who surrounded her with love and support as they faced the world together. She valued every single one of her friendships dearly. >Robbie is preceded in death by her loving husband, David Leroy Miller; her mother, Z. Darlene Hopkins; her father, Richard Joseph Hopkins; and her two brothers, Timmy Hopkins and Buddy Hopkins. Graveside service held at Socrum Cemetery, Sat. Oct. 17, 2020 - Ledger, Oct. 15, 2020 
LAKELAND - William Robert Hatcher passed away early on Monday morning, September 7th, 2020 at his home in North Lakeland following a very lengthy illness of a heart condition. Known to his dear friends as 'Red' Hatcher has recently passed his 97th birthday. >He is the last of his siblings to pass away. Having lost two sisters & his brother over the past few years as well as his wife, Anna Lorraine (Olson) on March 11, 2011. > He is survived by two sons, Edward & Raymond Hatcher & his wife Debbie. He has left two daughters, Sandra Raye Faulk of Lago Vista, Texas & Dianne Sue Davidson of Lakeland as well many grandchildren. Known by his family as Papa Hatcher, he was born in Coffee Springs, Alabama on June 29, 1923, son of James M Hatcher & Gussie (Peters) Hatcher. Papa Hatcher retired after more than 30 years working for CSX Railroad. He has been retired for more than 30 years. His great love has always been an avid cast net fisherman with his grandchildren & his railroad buddies. Papa Hatcher is a veteran of the US Navy having served three years in the South Pacific during World War II. Visitation will be held 9-10 am Saturday at Gentry-Morrison Funeral Home, 3350 Mall Hill Dr., Lakeland. LAKELAND - David Leroy Miller passed away Tuesday, April 28, 2020. He was born to Hiram Archie Miller and Margie June Sapp Miller on October 9, 1943 in Lakeland, FL where he resided until enlisting in the military. He was a lover of all things farming, and most of his childhood was spent working on a dairy farm. He attended Lakeland High School. As a Cub Scout and RA Leader, David dedicated himself to serving others. David joined the Army in August of 1961, where he was primarily stationed in Germany, and left honorably in August of 1965. After returning home from the military, he married Robbie Darlene Hopkins, his wife of 54 years, on April 8, 1966. For most of his life, David was employed in the paint industry. His expertise ranged from painting and restoring antique and collectible cars to doing industrial coatings for large companies such as GE, Disney, and NASA. He enjoyed cooking and gardening. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. In Germany, he is survived by his son Dennis P. Dinges and five grandchildren. David and Robbie had two children together, Richard David Miller (Susan) and Tiffani Robyn Gozdur (Jeff). They have four grandchildren, Jeremy, Mikayla, Madyson, and Paige, and one great grandchild, Lucas. >David is also survived by his three brothers, Steve, Eugene and Allen Miller; his sister, June Kessler; his mother, Margie Miller; and many nieces and nephews. Due to Covid-19, a private burial will be held at Socrum Cemetery. A celebration of life will be planned at a later date.Condolences may be sent to the family at . LAKELAND - Myra Aline Drury/ Perkins of Lakeland, passed away on Monday, March 1, 2021. Myra was born in Hortense, GA to Floyd and Aline Drury. Myra worked/owned and operated with her husband, Perkins Hobbies in Lakeland. She was an avid bowler, bowling in leagues and has bowled a perfect 300 game. She was a loving Wife, Mother, Grandma and great Grandma. >Myra is survived by her husband of 56 years, Jesse L. Perkins, Sr.; daughter Myra Ruth Moss (Scott); son, Jesse L. LAKELAND - Grace Harrison died of COPD Saturday May 5, 2007. Born in Millsprings, N.C., on Feb. 23, 1929, she came to Lakeland from N.C., 61 years ago. She was a homemaker, and a Baptist. She was a sister, mother, aunt, and granny to us. A friend to all. >Ms. Harrison is survived by her daughters, Judy Provau, Live Oak, FL., Valerie Sexton, Lakeland; sons, Charles S. Dimsdale,
Hendersonville, N.C., Fred A. Harrison, Lakeland; sister, Katie Sue Hall, Edneyville, N.C.; 10 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Lanier Funeral Home chapel. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Fellowship Assembly of God with a one hour visitation before the funeral from 10-11 a.m. Interment will be in Socrum Cemetery.
LAKELAND - Ammie Harrison Lang passed away March 11, 2021. She was born November 30, 1924 in Lakeland, Florida to William Thomas ( W.T. ) and Donie Garrett Harrison. Ammie was the youngest of thirteen children. She was a member of Parkview Baptist Church. She loved her church, her family and vacations at Siesta Key and Crystal River. >In addition to her parents and siblings she was preceded in death by her grandson Justin Smith. >Ammie is survived by her husband of 79 years, Albert C. Lang, son Albert 'Al' Lang, Jr. (Brenda), daughters Cindy Roe, and Bonnie Smith (Wayne). Grandchildren Lori Nadglowski (Joe), Cherie Sargeant (Chase), Joanna Fahrenkoph (Jeff), Matt Roe (Mandy), April Keahl (David), Amber Miller (Ryan), thirteen great-grandchildren and two great, great grandchildren. Visitation will be 10:00 am Wednesday, March 17, at Parkview Baptist Church, 509 Parkview Place, Lakeland, FL with services at 11:00 am. LAKELAND - Frederick "Rick" Goletz  passed away on May 11, 2008. The cause of death is still pending. He was born on August 25, 1960 in Michigan and came to the area from there in 1979. Rick was a Drag Line Operator for Mosaic (formerly IMC), for 29 years and was of the Baptist faith. He loved riding his motorcycle and was a member of ABATE motorcycle club. He also enjoyed fishing and the outdoors. >He is survived by his wife, Frances Goletz; son, John Goletz and wife April of New Hope, AL; daughter, Crystal Piotrowski and husband Tony of Lakeland; grandchildren, William, Kyla, and A.J.; mother, Roselyn Beehler of Michigan; and brother Joe Pozdol. LAKELAND - Dora C. Talley, of Lakeland, passed away Sunday, May 29 from complications of pneumonia. Moving here from Anderson, IN, she was a resident of Lakeland since 1978. She worked for many years as a teacher's aide, and also worked for GTE and AAA. She was a member of Crestview Baptist Church, and a volunteer with Awana Children's Ministry. >She was preceded in death by her husband Thomas Joe in 2007, and a daughter Barbara Ann Richardson; a brother Carl Jones and a sister Marlene Don Dineau. >She is survived by two sons, Bill and his wife Shannyn of Lakeland, and John and wife Rita of Elizabethtown, KY; a daughter Penny Talley of Lakeland; brothers Chuck, Ernie, Ray, James, Ronnie, and Tom Jones, and a sister Rozetta Prisoe; 10 grandchildren; Jason, Trina, Aaron Brent, Michael, Derek, Ryan, Cris, Josh, Dylan and Savannah; and 6 great grandchildren. Funeral services will take place on Saturday, June 4, 2011 at 10:00 am at Crestview Baptist Church, with burial to follow in Socrum Cemetery. LAKELAND -- Mrs. Pauline Patricia Costine of Lakeland died of kidney failure Monday (Nov. 21, 2005) at Lakeland Regional Medical Center. She was born in Long Beach, N.Y., on April 24, 1931, she came to Lakeland from Long Island, N.Y., in 1950. She was a beautician at a beauty shop. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church. > Mrs. Costine is survived by her husband, Leslie W. Costine; sisters, Jean Sherman, White River Junction, Vt., Dorothy Cook, Bradenton; brother, Edward J.
