FORT MEADE - Mr. James "Jimmie" Martin Keller of Fort Meade, FL, died Monday, July 27, 2009, from respiratory failure. Mr. Keller was born Feb. 11, 1932 in Fort Meade, FL. He was a heavy equipment operator for the Dept. of Transportation for over thirty years and worked for Keller Grassing after he retired from DOT. He was a member of First Church of God of Fort Meade. He was a third generation Polk Countain, and served in the Army during the Korean War. > He was preceded in death by his wife Betty Keller and son, Frank Keller.> He is survived by his daughter, Dorothy Kelley of Fort Meade, two sons: Jim Keller and wife Denise of Winter Haven and John Keller and wife Carol of Lakeland, sister Faye Cappers of Hastings, MI and brother Louie Keller of Fort Meade, five grandsons: Tim Keller of Fort Meade, Andy Baggett of Lakeland, Tommy Keller of Lakeland, Brian Ring of Bartow and Larry Kelley of Fort Meade, three granddaughters: Lisa Harder of Bartow, Katie Keller of Lakeland and Sara Kelley of Fort Meade, six great grandchildren: Tim "T.J." EAGLE LAKE - Nadine Moody Manley, of Eagle Lake, FL passed away on Sunday, November 24, 2013 at her residence due to heart failure. Born Nov. 23, 1936 in Vernon, FL she settled in the area after her husband retired from military service. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Eagle Lake; and had worked at Bordo Citrus as a sectionizer and at the Winter Haven Hospital in Medical Records. >She is preceded in death by her husband, James R. Manley; a son, John Richard Manley; 3 brothers, Hiram, Moody and Jim; and 2 sisters, Louise and Deanie. > She is survived by: 2 daughters, Kathy Bracknell and her husband Gary of Eagle Lake and Pamela Barber and her husband William of Sebring, FL; a nephew she treated as a son, Jimmy Sapp and his wife Sherry; a sister, Willodine Manley of Eagle Lake; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. EAGLE LAKE - Billy Monroe Manley of Eagle Lake, Florida passed away Sunday, October 8, 2017 at the Winter Haven Hospital. He was a native of Lake Wales, born November 9, 1933 to J.R. and Blonnie Manley, Billy has lived here his entire life. He worked many years for the former Dexter Daniels Ford, and after that he owned several rental properties. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Eagle Lake and was an avid RC Plane enthusiast, member of the local RC clubs, and he also was a pilot and owned his own airplane.>Billy was predeceased by a son Keith Manley (Dorothy). He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Willodine Manley of Eagle Lake; his son Danny Manley; his daughter Beverly Simpson (Joe); and his brother Roy Manley, all of Winter Haven. He also leaves behind 4 grandchildren: Angela Kehrley (Brendan), Cassandra Manley, Charis Manley, and Greg Manley (Meredith), 5 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. FORT MEADE - Mr. Clinton J. Manley, Sr.,passed away Tuesday, April 5, 2016 in Sebring, FL. Mr. Manley was born February 25, 1927 in Homeland, FL, and moved to Fort Meade from Plant City in 1940. He was a retired bulldozer operator for Estech Chemical Co. and a citrus grower and farmer. Mr. Manley was a WW II U.S. Army veteran, a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Fort Meade, and a member of Fort Meade's VFW and American Legion Post #23. >He was preceded in death by his wife, Eunice Page Manley; brother, Richard Henry Manley, and sister, Doris Beatrice Stanford. >Mr. Manley is survived by his son, Clinton J. 'Buddy' Manley, Jr. and wife Marsha, Sebring, FL; daughter, Judith Lynn Southwell and husband Dale, Bowling Green, FL; brother, Ernest F. EAGLE LAKE - Daniel John Manley of Eagle Lake, FL passed away on Saturday, February 9, 2019 at the Good Shepherd Hospice Forsythe Center in Auburndale.  He was born February 18, 1972 at Lakeland Regional Hospital to Billy and Willodine Manley. Danny was a renaissance man, interested in scuba, cycles and music. He is best known for working at Homes of Merit, delivering pizzas for Hungry Howies and his mobile DJ business. He was a fork-lift driver for Colorado Boxed Beef before becoming disabled due to Huntington's Disease. >Danny is preceded in death by his father, Billy Manley; brother, Keith Manley; and a sister in law, Dorothy Manley.  >His survivors include: his son, Gregory S. Manley and daughter-in-law, Meredith; his mother, Willodine Manley; sister, Beverly Simpson and husband, Joe; nieces, nephews and cousins. 'Buster' and Hazel Conner. She was a graduate of Auburndale High School Class of 1972. She married Keith M. Manley on May 2, 1981 in Lake Alfred, FL and had two daughters. She was a retired Library Assistant at Polk County Historical and Genealogical Library in Bartow, FL. Survivors include: her children, Cassandra 'Cassie' Willis and son-in-law, Austin, and Charis Manley; her brother, Lonnie R. Conner and wife Debra; sister-in-law, Beverly Simpson and husband Joe; brother-in-law, Daniel Manley; father-in-law, Earl Hendrix with wife, Jane; mother-in-law, Willodine Manley; and nephews and nieces.  > Dorothy was preceded in death by; her husband, Keith Manley; parents W.D. Doris worked in the lunch room at Lewis Elementary in Fort Meade for 15 years. She was a member of Lake Buffum Baptist Church, in the past few years she was attending the Church of God in Winter Haven. Mrs. Smothers loved children and for the past 10 years she was a nanny for many different families.
