Alleyne CRUM/ McVAY - 91 - Licensed Beautician
 Lake Wales -
 Alleyne passed away May 7, 2010, after a long illness under the tender care of Good Sheppard Hospice House in Auburndale, Florida due to heart failure.
 Alleyne was born June 18, 1918 in Homeland, Florida. She was the last living of her generation. Her mother was from Ohio.  The CRUMS were Florida Pioneers having settled in the Ocala area in the early eighteen hundreds, 2 brothers moved to Central Florida. Her grandfather James Burnett Crum, settled in Homeland. Her father, Charles Fletcher Crum, remained in Homeland, as did all his seven siblings. Alleyne attended school in Homeland and graduated from Summerlin Institute in Bartow. Alleyne became a licensed beautician at an early age. She continued her practice  until her eightieth birthday.
 Alleyne is predeceased by her husband, Burch McVay ( obit says MacVAY ) in 1977 and her sister Carmen CRUM / JONES in 1966.
 Alleyne is survived by nephews, James V. "Jim" Crum of Ocala, and Robert W. (Bob) Crum of Brandon and niece Jane McVAY Kinney of Miss. and numerous great nieces and nephews.
 A memorial service was held Thursday, May 13, 2010 at First United Methodist Church in Lake Wales.
 Interment was private, the family asks in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made, in her name to the Homeland Cemetery Association, Box 79, Homeland, Fl. 33847
