WAUCHULA - Mr. Samuel "Sam" Ewing Heath died Wednesday, Aug. 19, 1998, at home.  Sam was born in Swainsboro, Ga, on March 4, 1914, he moved to Wauchula from Immokalee 8 years ago. He was a business man and a citrus grove owner. Sam attended the Church of Christ in Wauchula.
 Sam was preceded in death by his brthers, George Heath, Herman Heath and Ed Heath.
 Sam is survived by his wife, La Berta L. Heath; sons, Gary Heath, Stanley Heath and Charles Heath, all of Fort Myers; daughter, Diane Barber, Punta Gorda; stepsons, Billy Batton, La Belle and Gary Batton, Wauchula; stepdaughters, Sherri Penning, Bell Fourche, S. D.,; sisterFrances H. Jones, Ashville, N.C.; brothers, Frank Heath, Fort Meade, Foster E. Heath, Lakeland and Charles C. Heath, Wauchula; 12 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

 FORT MEADE - Mrs. Heath died Sunday at Lakeland General Hospital after a long illness. A native of Swainsboro, Ga., she came  to Fort Meade 50 years ago from Pulaski, Ga. She was a member of First Methodist Church of Fort Meade.
 Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Murrell E. Jones, Fort Myers; 6 sons, George M. Jr., Miami; Frank  A., Herman W., Fort Meade, Samuel E., Immokalee, Foster G., Lakeland, Charles C., Wauchula; 3 sisters, Mrs. Emmett Cowart, Valdosta, Ga., Mrs. James Bishop, Mrs. Paul Wilson Sr., Homeland,; a brother, John Waller, Fort Meade; 10 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Notice;
 Lena WALLER / HEATH ( aka; Mrs. George M. Heath ) of Fort Meade, Fl., were held Tuesday, in the First United Methodist Church of Fort Meade. The Rev. Mr. S. Harry Russell, Pastor, will officiate.
 Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.The family wishes in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the "Parsonage Fund" of the church.
 Heath Funeral Home on Ingreham Ave. in charge of arrangements.

Wauchula – Charles C. Heath, 90, died on March 2, 2012 due to natural causes. He was born on April 2, 1921 in Ft. Meade, Florida. Charles graduated from Ft. Meade High School in 1939 and graduated from Florida Southern College in 1947. He served in the Navy on the U.S.S. Burleigh in the South Pacific and Atlantic during WWII. He was discharged from the Navy in 1945 as chief petty officer with several combat medals.
 Charles was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Wauchula, the Masonic Lodge No. 17, the Lions Club, the Elks Lodge, American Legion Post 2, and a member the clown unit of the Egypt Temple of the Shrine. He was also a Lay Leader and taught the Methodist Men’s bible class.
 He is preceded in death by his brothers, George, Jr., Herman, Ed, Sam, and Frank.
 He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Florence, his daughter, Tracey Heath, his brother, Foster Heath, his sister, Frances Heath Jones of Ashville, NC, and sister in law, Sally (Fred) Simpson of Jacksonville, FL.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, March 4, 2012 from 2 pm to 3 pm at the First United Methodist Church of Wauchula with services to follow at 3 pm.
 In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Wauchula’s Youth group or a charity of your choice.

  Georgia "Evelyn" Hood Heath, 83, was welcomed home by her Heavenly Father and family and friends who had gone before her on February 20, 2012, following a brief bout with cancer.
Evelyn, born in Chipley, Florida on February 17, 1929, was a resident of Bay County for most of her life. She was the daughter of Robert Lee and Sarah Lucy WALDEN/ HOOD, and the widow of PRESTON HEATH. Fishing and visiting with family and friends were her favorite pastimes. Evelyn retired from Wright's Uniform Rental Service.
Evelyn is survived by her sisters, Catherine Reece, Helen Cobb, Myrtle Barnes (Gene), Edna Erickson (Bill) and Mary Nell Barnes (Billy); brothers, Clayton Hood (Juanita), Colon Hood (Carol), Jerry Hood (Barbara), and Jimmy Hood (Linda); stepsons Lonnie Heath (Shelia) and Wayne Heath (Brenda). Evelyn was a loving and fun filled aunt to thirty nieces and nephews.
 She was preceded in death by a sister, Gertrude Hood, and brothers Grady Hood, Leroy Hood, and James Robert Hood.
 The family wishes to extend sincere thanks to the staff of Emerald Coast Hospice and Dr. Vickie Harrell and staff for the compassionate care that was given Evelyn.
Asked to serve as active pallbearers are her nephews. Honorary pallbearers are Dr. Vickie Harrell and her staff.
 Funeral services were held on Wednesday, February 22, 2012 in the chapel of Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home. Officiating is Apostle Nolan Ball, with Reverend Jason Lowery assisting. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, in
Panama City, Fla.
