BARTOW -- Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Gatlin of Bartow died of heart
failure Monday (Feb. 21, 2005) at Good Shepherd Hospice. She was 71.
She was born in Arcadia on Jan. 2, 1934. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Gatlin is survived by her daughters, Lavonia
Sayles, Arcadia, Cherl Gatlin Kelley, Rita Gatln, both of Bartow; sons,
William Gatlin, Ocala, Kenneth Gatlin, Arcadia; mother, Rosene McQueen,
Arcadia; sisters, Clarissa Issac, Syracuse, N.Y., Doretha Simon,
Orlando, Lois Gilmore, Miami, Earlene Greenwood, Avon Park, Pamela
Clemmons, Arcadia; brother, Edward Chandler Jr., Miami; 18
grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday at Gause
Funeral Home, 625 S. Holland Parkway, Bartow.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. James AME Church in Bartow. Burial will be in
Wildwood Cemetery, Bartow, Polk Co., - Fl..- Ledger, Feb. 24,
