MRS. MELBA M. HAMPTON – 75
– IMC Agrico Phosphate Co.
BARTOW -- Mrs. Melba M. Hampton of Bartow died of
complications from a stroke Sunday (July 13, 2003) at her home. She was
75.Born March 29, 1928, in Bradley, she came here from Mulberry 50
years ago. She was a secretary for IMC Agrico Phosphate Co. for more
than 30 years. She was a member of the Bartow Lioness Club and Bartow
Senior Friends Club. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of
Bartow.
Mrs. Hampton was preceded in death by her husband,
R.E. "Buddy" Hampton.
She is survived by her daughters, Sherri Hampton Little
and Jan Hampton, both of Bartow; and one grandson.
Visitation will beTuesday at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home,
Bartow. Services will be Wednesday at the funeral home.
