George L. Pearce, died at Brewster; Ledger, Oct.20, 1943

 BREWSTER - Oct. 20 - special-
George L. Pearce, member of a pioneer Polk County family, died last night at his home in Brewster. He was 59 years old.
 George is survived by his widow, Mrs. Helia P. Pearce; 6 daughters; Mrs. Sam Gray of Lake Wales; Mrs. L. T. Payne of Tampa; Mrs. Lamar Johnson of Bartow; Miss Clarice Pearce of the Navy, and Miss Harriett Pearce of Tampa.
 One son, Borden L.  Pearce with the Navy; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph C. Pearce of Brewster; 4 sisters, Mrs. Harris Lancaster and Mrs. David Lancaster both of Bartow, Mrs. Jesse Durrance of Brighton and Mrs. G. H. Jameson of Bradley Junction, and a brother, Ben Pearce of Bradley Junction.
 Time and place of services will be announced after word has been recieved from the son and daughter in the Navy.
  Ware Funerl Home in Plant City is in charge of arrangements.

LAKELAND -- Mrs. Thelma Pearce Johnson of Lakeland died of natural causes associated with old age Monday (Oct. 3, 2005) at The Manor at Carpenters Manor. She was born in Brewster on March 9, 1910, she came to Lakeland from Mulberry six years ago. She worked in the accounting department at American Cyanamid for 21 years. She was a member of the Pythian Sisters, Orlando Chapter, and the Order of the Eastern Star, Chapter No. 57 in Mulberry. She was a member of the Polk County Historical Society, the Father Ryan Chapter of the United Daughters of the Confederacy and the Daughter's of the American Revolution in Lakeland. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Mulberry.  >Mrs. Johnson is survived by her sons, Mallory Lovette Johnson, Lakeland, Keith O. Johnson, Atlanta; daughter, Joyce Griffin, Bartow; sister, Harriett Galberaith, Bradley; five grandchildren; two greatgrandchildren. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 this evening at Seigler Funeral Home, State Road 60 E., Mulberry. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Oak Hill Cemetery, Highway 98 S., Lakeland.

MULBERRY - James Adrian Galberaith passed away on Saturday, October 17, 2015, in Cumming, Georgia.  Adrian proudly served his country during World War II in the United States Navy. Adrian enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening. He also loved 'making his little men. >He is preceded in death by his parents, James and Gussie Galberaith and 5 siblings. >He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Harriett Pearce Galberaith; son, Steve Adrian Galberaith; daughter, Kay Elizabeth Geller; siblings, Mary Alice Hamilton and Danny Galberaith Hinson; 4 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, October 27, 2015, at 6:00 p.m. at Mulberry United Methodist Church, Mulberry, FL, with Pastor Val Hattery officiating. Ingram Funeral Home & Crematory, Cumming, Georgia is in charge of arrangements.
