> DR. ETHAN CLEMENT ALLEN - 85 - Doctor of Dental Surgery
BARTOW - Dr. Ethan Clement Allen, Doctor of Dental Surgery, Captain, U.S. Navy, retired, passed away January 12, 2012, of heart failure. He was born on November 16, 1926 in Bradley, FL, the son of Ethan Commander Allen and Addie Marie Walker Allen.
 He was a graduate of Summerlin Institute, Bartow, FL, attended Vanderbilt University and Emory University where he received his D.D.S. degree. He completed the Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Residency Programs at the Naval Hospital, Bethesda, Maryland and the residency program of the Chelsea Naval Hospital and Harvard University. His Naval service included two aircraft carriers, the U.S.S Roosevelt and the U.S.S. Wasp, and Naval hospitals in Naples, Italy; Bethesda, Maryland; Chelsea, Massachusetts; Key West, Florida; Yokosuka, Japan; and Camp Pendleton, California. He retired from the Navy in 1973 and moved to Jacksonville where he served as Chairman of the Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at University Hospital (now Shands).
 In 1974, he joined the Oral Surgery Practice of Hehn, Traver and Williams where he practiced for twenty-one years. He is a member of the American Society of Oral Surgery and a Diplomat of the American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery.  Dr. Allen was a loving husband, brother, uncle and friend. His religious principles guided his life and he was a devoted member of Riverside Presbyterian Church, where he served as Ruling Elder, Deacon, Choir member and member of several committees. > He is survived by his wife, Sarah; his sister, Mary Frances Sullivan of Lakeland; his brother, Kenneth Allen of Bartow and several nieces and nephews and their families. >Two sisters, Marie Sloan and Frieda Hutton of Lakeland predeceased him.
 The family will receive friends Tuesday, January 17, 2012 at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home, 650 East Main Street in Bartow, FL. Graveside Service will be held Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at  Wildwood Cemetery in Bartow, FL. CHICORA -- Mr. Ralph Edward Cooper of Chicora died of heart failure Saturday (Feb. 18, 2006) at Lakeland Regional Medical Center. He was born June 28, 1941, in Richland, Mr. Cooper moved to Chicora from Bradley 20 years ago. He worked as a maintenance mechanic for Conserve. He was a Baptist. > Mr. Cooper is survived by his mother, Neala Cooper, Zephyrhills; daughters, Joann Morris, Chicora, Rebecca Stavely, Nobleton; brothers, Fred Cooper and Roy Cooper, both of Richland; sister, Carolyn Cook, Ocala; and two grandchildren. > EUNICE ALBRITTON CRAVEY - 96 - 
MEDULLA - Eunice Albritton Cravey  passed away Tues. June 23, 2009 from heart failure. Eunice was born in Chicora, Fl. on April 24, 1913 to Harley & Eliza (Keen) Albritton.  Eunice moved to Medulla in 1963 from Bradley. Eunice was a devoted mother and grandmother. Eunice was a member of Ardella Baptist Church. >Eunice is preceded in death by her husband B.L. Cravey. >She is survived by sons, Harold (Nadean)  Cravey, Lakeland, Clyde (Dottie)  Cravey, Lakeland, daughter, Melvine (Ed) Waters, Lakeland, brother, H.P. Albritton (Louise), Chicora, FL., l2 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and 16 great - great -grandchildren. Visitation will be held Fri. June 26, 2009 from 9:30-10:30 A.M. at Seigler Funeral Home Chapel, Hwy. 60 E. Mulberry. Funeral services to follow at 10:30 A.M.
