| June 6,1926 - July 31, 2011 James C. DuBose, 85, of Frostproof passed away on Sunday, July 31, 2011 at the Somers Good Shepherd Hospice House in Sebring. James was born July 6, 1926 in Frostproof, Florida to Ernest Y. and Ruby M. (Carter) DuBose. He was a retired Golf Course Superintendent for Indian Lake Estates for 37 years. A veteran of Korea, serving in the US Air Force, a member of the American Legion, and past member of Post 95 in Frostproof until they disbanned, and a member of the Frostproof Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his brother, Lowell DuBose; and sister, Ernestine Temple. Survivors include his wife, Veronica L. DuBose; daughters, Melinda Yarbrough of Frostproof, Cathy Wise of Frostproof, and Belinda Hurst of Lake Wales; brother, John E. DuBose, Sr. of Babson Park; sister, Margaret Phillips of Frostproof; 8 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, August 3, 2011 at the Frostproof Church of Christ with John E. DuBose, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow at the Silver Hill Cemetery. Family will be receiving friends on Tuesday, August 2, 2011 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Frostproof.
