B.Bryant, Lifelong Polk Resident. Died. ( Lakeland Evening Ledger, Tuesday, Oct. 19, 1943 ) Walter Bethel Bryant, a lifelong resident of Polk County, died suddenly of a heart attack yesterday afternoon. Death occured while Mr. Bryant was in route to his home after a visit at the Dr.'s office. He had been taken earlier with a milder attack. Walter was 61 years old and had been born and reared near Socrum. Walter is survived by his widow, Mrs. Flossie Bryant; two sons, Werner B. Bryant and Hollis S. Bryant, both of Lakeland; three daughters; Mrs. G. C. Voyles of Polk City, Mrs. F. A. Hughes of Tampa and Mrs. W. E. Mills of Lakeland; one brother R. H. Bryant of Lakeland,; two sisters, Mrs. Arizona Brown of Lakeland and Mrs. Martha Reynolds of Jacksonville, and 13 grandchildren. Funeral services were held Wednesday at 4 in the Bethel Baptist Church at Socrum and interment will be in the Socrum Cemetery.
